Shipping Policy

Every artwork, whether a commissioned piece an original painting or POD is made with care and your delivery experience should feel just as personal.

Overview: Commissions ship within 4 - 6 weeks of proof approval to allow time for painting, finishing, and secure packaging. Original works purchased from James Robbins Fine Art will ship within 2 weeks of purchase confirmation. You’ll receive a UPS tracking number by email as soon as your artwork is on its way. POD Giclee prints on Paper or Canvas ship directly from Printful. (see Printful shipping details)

Effective Date: February 1, 2026. James Robbins Fine Art is committed to clear, reliable shipping for custom and original artworks. We ship via UPS Ground. If you’d prefer expedited shipping, please contact us before approving your proof. We’ll arrange a faster method and let you know the upgrade cost.

Processing Time/Shipping Methods/Costs

Processing Time: Commissions and Original paintings and prints are made-to-order; allow 2-6 weeks for completion (depending on size, complexity, and current workload) plus shipping time. We'll provide email updates on progress. Potential Delays/Service Interruptions: Timelines may be affected by holidays, weather, supply issues, or unforeseen events (e.g., carrier disruptions). We'll notify you promptly of any delays. Shipping Methods and Carriers: We use trusted services like Canada Post, UPS, or FedEx for domestic (Canada) and international orders. Options and estimated delivery times will be discussed during commissioning. Costs: Shipping fees are calculated based on destination, artwork size/weight, packaging needs, and chosen carrier. Quotes provided upfront; free shipping may apply on select Canadian orders—details during commissioning. Packaging: All physical artworks are professionally packed (acid-free materials, bubble wrap, sturdy boxes/crates) to minimize damage risk. Tracking and Insurance: Shipments include tracking (sent via email) and insurance for the artwork's value. International Shipping: Available worldwide; customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, or fees (not included in our quotes). Lost or Damaged Items: In the rare event of loss or damage, contact us immediately at Jamescdrobbins@gmail.com with photos and details. We'll file claims with the carrier and resolve via replacement, repair, or refund (at our discretion for insured items). Non-Shippable Items: Oversized, fragile, or special works may require local pickup (Coquitlam, BC area) or third-party art shippers—we'll coordinate during commissioning.
